What is Vibrational Music

Vibrational Healing Music

What happens when you hear your favorite song? You, almost immediately, smile and feel better. Your reaction, although natural, has a deeper explanation. Sound triggers the release of stress-relieving chemicals in the brain, making it an excellent form of therapy to explore and apply.

Everyone knows that music has health benefits and can easily lift people’s spirits when they are down. Getting healing through sound is not new, although it has been gaining further traction lately. In fact, the practice of realigning the body through sound vibration and improving wellness via music dates way back to Australian Aborigines who used the didgeridoo as a healing tool.

In this article, we’ll explain what vibrational healing music is and offer examples of such music. Moreover, we will also explain how vibrational music healing works and what the benefits and limitations of this type of therapy are. Let’s begin!

What is Vibrational Music?

What is Vibrational Music

Two words need to be highlighted here – vibrational and music. Music is well understood and needs no further explanation. But what does vibration, in this context, mean?

Vibrations can indicate a person’s physical state, covering the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects. Vibrations represent energy motions, which, when low, refer to poor physical condition. When the vibrations are high, it means a state that aligns with positivity, goodness, joy, upliftment, and high energy. In other words, when it is high, it is good, and when low, it isn’t good.

Whenever you are down and have feelings of mental pressure, depression, or emotional instability, music is known to offer remedies. The power to raise your vibration is what is referred to as vibrational music. That means music can be used to raise your vibration from the low state to the high state.

The sound itself is vibration. When applied, it can improve or raise the motions of energy of individuals, moving it from low to high. So, an individual who wants to increase their vibration can use the tool of music to achieve this.

Can any or every kind of music be termed vibrational music? Yes and No.

First, no specific set of songs or music can be called vibrational. It qualifies as vibrational music if it lifts your mood. But then, there are different types of music specifically composed to lift the vibrations of individuals. Such music, which has the power to transport individuals into a higher state of awareness and emotional energy, is vibrational.

Examples of vibrational music composed for that exact purpose include Sound Bath Music (a sound healing session), Solfeggio Frequency Music, Music with Conscious Lyrics, Music with Nature Sounds, Mantra Music, and Binaural Beats.

However, any song that improves your mood is high vibrational music for you. If it lifts your vibe, it is! The benefits include an uplifted mental state and improved energy level. Other benefits are a feeling of a deeper state of relaxation and feelings of contentment and gratitude. Vibrational music also helps enhance healing in the body and mind.

How can Vibrational Music Help Healing?

Heal Yourself With Vibrational Music

Music is generally known to have healing powers. As noted earlier, music can trigger the release of chemicals in the body which have healing properties.

If music is highly vibrational, it certainly has, among other benefits, the ability to improve the hearer’s mental, emotional, and physical health. Of all the benefits of vibrational music, which are genuinely numerous, very few can match its healing qualities.

Because sound travels faster through water than through air, and because our bodies contain more water than air, sound is an effective method of relieving the body of stress. That’s because sound can be a carrier of energy that will relax the muscles and regenerate damaged body parts.

Music therapy involves using sound to improve the listener’s emotional condition and overall wellness by applying several methods. How does this happen? First, vibrational music relaxes the body. This relaxation is necessary for the healing process to take place in the body. The high vibrational music created for healing can be used to this effect.

Sound can be used as a healing therapy. For example, a sound bath involves relaxing while “bathing” in soothing sound vibrations. When this happens, the brain responds by entering a healthy state due to the slowing down of its waves. Once the brain has reached this state, the body can begin to regenerate itself, which is what triggers self-healing.

History of Vibrational Music Healing

History of Vibrational Music

Music has been used for healing for many centuries.

Although the history of using sounds for healing can be traced to Australians, Ancient Greece is also reputed to play a prominent role. In Ancient Greece, music was deployed as a tool to cure several disorders, including mental illnesses.

However, the first recorded evidence of using sounds for healing is from the Aboriginal Australians. They were known to use a wind instrument known as a didgeridoo for several types of healing processes, especially regenerative healing. The Australians used the didgeridoo to cure several bone and muscle ailments.

Chanting or using certain syllables to heal specific body parts has been a well-known healing process for centuries in many parts of Asia, especially among the Tibetans and Chinese.

Music as therapy or vibrational music healing now involves practical sessions with professionals who will serve as guides in the process. Music therapy not only heals the body but also boosts the immune system and keeps the mind in a positive state.

Benefits of Vibrational Music Healing

Vibrational music healing works, and lots of people have proved this. The benefits are enormous. Let’s look at some of them.

Health booster

Vibrational music healing boosts health and strengthens the immune system. People that engage in vibrational music healing tend to achieve better physical well-being than those that do not.

Relaxes the body

Sound improves the rate at which the body relaxes. By interacting with the muscles, vibrational sounds can transmit energy into the body and causes the mind to attain a state of perfect rest. Regardless of the ailment, a person who attends a music therapy session can expect a relaxed state immediately.

Clears mind blockages

Sometimes, the problem people have isn’t infirmity, but a mental blockage due to stress or unresolved issues. When you go through a vibrational music healing procedure, one of the results is the clearing of such blockages leaving the body and mind freer and clearer.

Improves mental well-being

Other benefits of the vibrational music healing process include the improvement of self-esteem, and the ability to cope with others. It also helps in social interaction and the ability to communicate more effectively. Problems with language and expression and social anxiety can also be resolved through vibrational music.

The brain is perhaps the most significant part of the body that benefits from vibrational music – it can help improve memory, attention span, and academic knowledge. Moreover, the entire cognitive function and motor coordination are enhanced when vibrational music is used as a healing therapy.

Limitations of Vibrational Music Healing

As potent as this method is, it has some limitations. First, medical models only accept methods with statistical data that can be measured and analyzed.

Vibrational music healing as a model cannot be measured in any way. There is no way to know how well the process impacts the users’ lives with measurable data. This is one of the most significant limitations of this model of healing.

Vibrational music healing is also not a quick fix. You can take some drugs and expect noticeable results in no time. However, music therapy is time-consuming and requires effort before noticeable changes can be seen, especially with healing procedures.

Another limitation is the considerable cost associated with accessing the services of professionals for those who wish to use vibrational music as a therapy.

Examples of Vibrational Music Healing

Here are examples of procedures that can lead to vibrational music healing.

Sound bath

Vibrational Music Sound Bath

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you lie down and soak yourself in vibrational music. Some people regard sound baths as a form of yoga exercise. Waves that accompany the procedure can be produced by various healing instruments, such as gongs, chimes, and more.

Solo sounds

Vibrational music healing can also be done individually. Although a guided procedure achieves better results, people can also carry out solo therapy via several methods, such as humming or chanting.

Binaural beats

Binaural beats therapy is achieved via specialized earphones in which two different tones of different frequencies are projected into the ears. The left ear hears a tone of 200 Hz, while the right ear hears a tone of 205 Hz.

This creates an illusion in the brain, producing a third frequency known as the binaural beat. In this case, the binaural beat will be 5 Hz, which is the difference between the two frequencies. When applied, binaural beats help achieve meditation, lowering stress, anxiety levels, and even aches and body pains.

Healing Frequencies

Another example of vibrational music healing is healing frequencies, a type of sound wave therapy used to ensure the body is at rest. According to practitioners, your brain can go from a state of chaos to a state of rest, depending on sound frequencies. Hence, healing frequencies launch the brain into a healing state, reducing stress, increasing focus, and improving sleep.

Several healing frequencies can be used to achieve different stages of healing. These include 174 Hz,  which is known to relieve pain, soothe the brain and evoke live feelings; 396 Hz, known as a frequency that dispels fear and guilt; 417 Hz, which is the frequency that dissolves feelings of trauma; 432 Hz, the frequency that clears the mind and 440 Hz, which relieves the body of anxiety. Other frequencies include 528 Hz, 639 Hz, 741 Hz, 852 Hz, and 963 Hz.

All the tones in these respective frequencies can cause the body to experience different levels of positive changes. Some of the instruments used to achieve healing frequency include windchimes, didgeridoo, tuning forks, and tongue drums.

Conclusion

Vibrational music healing is a procedure where the sound of music is used to transport the power of healing into the body. Although not thoroughly researched, many have turned to this practice to relieve stress and heal both mind and body.

A professional’s guidance is needed for optimal results; however, you can still turn to music and sound in the peace of your own home to achieve a better state of wellness.
